"Bullseye" Brown Collar Male $4,500

Bullseye may be one of the smaller puppies in the litter, but there is a brave little guy packed into that tiny body. He isn't naturally as sure of new situations as some of his siblings, so he tends to take a moment to figure out what is happening before jumping in. He is also one of our most tenderhearted puppies and seems very tuned in to the energy around him. After Austin’s “tantrum,” Bullseye climbed right onto his chest and then looked around as if he needed to make sure everything and everyone was okay. He is highly human focused, submissive with other dogs, and clearly finds a lot of security in being connected to his person.

 

Bullseye would do best with a family that appreciates a sensitive, deeply connected puppy and is willing to help his confidence catch up with his brave little heart. Because he isn't naturally very motivated to work just for the sake of working, his family may need to experiment with really good treats, toys, and lots of praise to figure out what makes training fun for him. Most importantly, don't coddle him when he's unsure. Give him manageable challenges, let him work through them, and celebrate the heck out of him when he realizes he can do it! Continued socialization and positive experiences will be especially important for Bullseye. With that support, I think this little guy has a beautiful starting point for becoming an incredibly devoted companion who knows his people inside and out.
