Woody is our little firecracker! He flew through his temperament test at lightning speed with his tail wagging the entire time and basically never stopped moving. He is confident, highly motivated, assertive, energetic, and very human focused, so this is a puppy who is ready to GO and would prefer that his person come along for the ride. He absolutely wanted to be wherever Austin was, but he isn't especially tenderhearted.

 

When Austin had his “tantrum,” Woody was much more interested in turning the whole situation into a game than worrying about why Austin was upset. Life is fun, people are fun, and Woody seems determined to experience all of it.

 

Woody's ideal family is active, involved, and excited to train a smart little dog with a big personality. I can picture him loving hikes, adventures, training classes, games, and older kids who want a little buddy to play with. Because he is assertive with other dogs, has a medium prey drive, and tends to charge enthusiastically into life, I would be more thoughtful about matching him with very young children, tiny animals, or a timid resident dog. His family should start working on impulse control, polite greetings, settling, and boundaries right away. Don't just wear him out physically. Give that busy brain a job too!

 

With consistent training and plenty of socialization, Woody has all the ingredients to become an incredibly fun little dog for a family that loves his big-dog personality packed into a 20–30 pound body.
